Inside the Oak Suite
The Oak Suite is our ground-floor, fully accessible room, reachable from the front porch without a single stair. Wide doorways and hallways run throughout, the king bed sits at an easy transfer height, and the walk-in shower has grab bars with a bench seat available on request. The vanity is accessible as well.
Accessible does not mean plain. The suite carries the same premium linens, robes and slippers, garden-side calm, climate control, complimentary Wi-Fi, flat panel television, and sitting area as the rest of the house. Guests with mobility needs, and their traveling companions, get exactly the same stay as everyone else.
Breakfast and the rest of the estate
A full gourmet breakfast is served at nine each morning in the formal dining room on the same level as the suite. Monday is continental, and earlier continental service can be arranged by request.
The porches, gardens, and gazebo sit on six and a half private acres above the Ohio River, with level paths from the front of the house. Parking is free and private, and the inn is adults only, so the grounds stay quiet all day.
Day trips and romantic itineraries nearby
Warsaw sits midway between Cincinnati and Louisville, so most of the region is an easy drive. Couples usually pair a night in this suite with a slow morning on the porch and one outing in the afternoon.
- Tastings along the Riverside Wine Trail and local bourbon distilleries
- The Ark Encounter in Williamstown, about forty minutes south
- The Creation Museum in Petersburg, about forty five minutes north
- General Butler and Big Bone Lick state parks for hiking and river overlooks
- Riverfront dinners in Warsaw and Carrollton, or the restaurants at Belterra
- A full day on the grounds, which is what many guests choose in the end
