An indoor room with real character
The Carriage House sits on the grounds of our 1869 estate in Warsaw, Kentucky, less than an hour from Cincinnati. Its walls are lined with hand fired and stained wood planks that give the room a warm, honey colored glow, and antique chandeliers hang overhead to soften the light once the sun goes down.
It is the one fully enclosed venue on the property, which makes it the natural home for receptions in cooler months, a reliable backup for outdoor ceremonies, and a gathering place when guests want to step in from the gardens.
How couples use the space
Most couples use the Carriage House for a seated dinner and dancing. With up to 100 guests seated, there is still room for a dance floor, a band or DJ, a head table, and a cake or dessert display.
It also works beautifully for an indoor ceremony. Rows of chairs face the far wall, the chandeliers dim, and once vows are finished the room is turned for dinner while guests enjoy cocktail hour in the gardens.
Because it opens directly to the gardens and lawn, guests can drift between indoors and out all evening. Drinks purchased from the Inn's bar are welcome on the porches, lawns, and by the river.
Comfort through the seasons
The Carriage House is heated, so late fall and winter celebrations stay cozy. It is not air conditioned, so for summer dates we usually pair it with the grand tent and plan the busiest parts of the evening for after sunset.
